About Me
I am a native Angeleno and have had the pleasure of providing mental health care to our city’s diverse population for the past 10 years. While earning my Masters in Social Work at UCLA, I provided individual and school-based group therapy to middle-school students, focusing on improving social skills, self-esteem, and anger management. I also worked in collaboration with Juvenile Services, providing individual counseling to adolescents in order to prevent formal involvement with the court process and future offenses. After earning my graduate degree, I spent six years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing individual and group psychotherapy to male and female veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, depressive disorders and anxiety disorders.
When working with children and adolescents, I enjoy forming relationships with the family as a whole so my client can have the most support possible. With clients of all ages, I integrate mindfulness skills to help my clients learn to be kind and present with themselves and the challenges of the moment.
I have extensive training in several evidence-based treatments such as: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), CBT for Depression, CBT for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (Trichotillomania), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
I also completed a two-year advanced certificate program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles.
In addition to my private practice in Culver City/Del Rey, I provide therapy to children, adolescents, and adults at the Cognitive Behavioral Treatment Center in Manhattan Beach and Eagle Rock.
